Message from the Chairman

For those who don’t know me, I'm the Corporate Quality Manager / Radiation Safety Officer and Level III for IRISNDT, Inc. I have been involved in NDT since February 1993. I started out with little experience but quickly learned that the field of Non-destructive Testing was worth taking serious. Chance may have put me into this industry, but the diverse, exciting and technically emerging field which continues to grow is what keeps me here. Individuals with backgrounds in nondestructive testing find themselves working in a variety of industries doing all kinds of different things. NDT is a growing, high tech, exciting career field, filled with opportunities.

I have recently become involved in Oklahoma ASNT serving as Section Education Chairman in 2003-2004 and as Vice-Chairman in 2004-2005/2005-2006. I'm grateful to have such a fine team to work with this year. Vice Chairman - Mark Wright, Secretary/Treasurer. - Mark Bors, Education Chairman/Membership -David Sybenga, Director - Don Vavra and Director - John Murray. Your support, past experience and dedication is what makes our chapter succeed. Of course, there are many others working to make Oklahoma ASNT possible. I thank you all!

My goals for this year are to make all the deadlines for Section Reporting, financial and otherwise, and have a greater attendance at our meetings.

We will have a good year, and I look forward to seeing you.
